Why they’ll make it: There may not be another team in the country hungrier than the Dolphins. After winning the regular season crown in the Atlantic Sun, the Dolphins laid an egg in the conference championship game against East Tennessee State. With the top three scorers in Ben Smith, Lehmon Colbert, and Ayron Hardy returning, the Dolphins also have the talent to match the desire. The teams from Tennessee have dominated this conference recently, but it appears the Atlantic Sun championship goes through Northern Florida.
Why they won’t make it: Rising Juniors Adnan Hodzic and Josh Slater are back for Lipscomb and it appears to be ready to maintain its position near the top of the conference. After a fourth place finish last season, the Bisons are prime for a jump in the standings. If any team is to challenge Jacksonville, it’ll be the tiny school from Nashville.
